A simple photo slide of The Blue Ridge Mountains USA. The Blue Ridge Rangers was the first solo album by John Fogerty the former lead singer and lead guitarist of Creedence Clearwater Revival.
It was released by Fantasy Records in 1973 as by "The Blue Ridge Rangers." The reason Fogerty chose to issue the album under The Blue Ridge Rangers name was to put some distance between himself and the Creedence legacy he wore like an albatross.
"Blue Ridge Mountain Blues" is a sort of country standard that John says he took from the J.E. Mainer version, although he added the resounding bass drum work. It's a perfect theme song for this kind of album, very specific in lyric, but very general in overtones.

THE BLUE RIDGE RANGERS with ex CCR John Fogerty remakes a Hank Williams' classic country "Jambalaya" in 1973.
(Kyseessä on todellakin vain John Fogerty, vaikka audion uploadannut brassi otsikoi esittäjäksi oikein kuvan kanssa varhaisen CCR:n.
Tämä oli Johnin ensimmäisen soolo-LP:n single-julkaisu. Monelle tuttu Muskan coveroimana suoraan Fogertyn sovituksesta.)
