Kenen korkeat jumalat keinuunsa ottavat kerta, eivät ne häntä yhdessä kohden pidä: 'Goodness gracious great balls of fire!'

Eino Leino ja Jerry Lee Lewis.

I
Jumalten keinu

Kenen korkeat jumalat keinuunsa ottavat kerta,
eivät ne häntä yhdessä kohden pidä,
he heittävät häntä
välillä taivaan ja maan -
siksi kuin järjen valon häneltä ne vievät.

Ja kuka maailmoiden mahdin kuuluttaja on,
hän tänään pilvien ääriä kulkee,
ja huomenna makaa
maassa niin syvällä
kuin koski, mi vuorten kuilussa kuohuu.

Kuka keinussa jumalien keinuu,
ei hällä elon aika pitkä ole.
Syyn, syyttömyyden
hän huiput nähköön -
sitten tulkohon tumma yö.

Great Balls of Fire by Jerry Lee Lewis
*
You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain
Too much love drives a man insane
You broke my will, oh what a thrill
Goodness gracious great balls of fire

I learned to love all of Hollywood money
You came along and you moved me honey
I changed my mind, looking fine
Goodness gracious great balls of fire

You kissed me baba, woo.....it feels good
Hold me baba, learn to let me love you like a lover should
Your fine, so kind
I'm a nervous world that your mine mine mine mine-ine

I cut my nails and I quiver my thumb
I'm really nervous but it sure is fun
Come on baba, you drive me crazy
Goodness gracious great balls of fire

Well kiss me baba, woo-oooooo....it feels good
Hold me baba
I want to love you like a lover should
Your fine, so kind

I got this world that your mine mine mine mine-ine
I cut my nails and I quiver my thumb
I'm real nervous 'cause it sure is fun
Come on baba, you drive me crazy
Goodness gracious great balls of fire

I say goodness gracious great balls of fire...oooh..

Jerry Lee Lewis - John Fogerty: Good Golly Miss Molly vuonna 2007

(Lisäys 30.3)

Jaa-a.

Jerry Lee on suoraan sanottuna vähintäinkin hämmästynyt! Videokommentaattori kirjoittaa asiaa.

JERRY LEE LEWIS & JOHN FOGERTY - Good Golly Miss Molly
01:59
His voice was so poor that he just left John Fogerty sing it alone, since wouldn't be able to follow him in a frenetic singing.

(Video on tekniseltä tasoltaan erinomainen; kysehän on televisio-ohjelmasta Last Man Standing - Live)

KTS. myös Rockin historian siipien havinaa, Rock&Roll Girls ja Soli juoruun kautta ko mä asiast kuulin.

LISÄYS

PS. You Tuben kommentteja. Räsänen valistaa "teiniä".

"Teini"

He (Jerry Lee) sure didn't have any trouble keeping up with him doing "traveling band" on the Las Man Standing album. Heck, he left Fogerty behind.

RR

I haven´t listened Last Man Standing album yet but just wait a couple of days.

Till then I wonder instead if you have heard those "CC Rider" and "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" live videos.

Jerry Lee`s rock-pianoplaying is still stylish and brisk but his voice what comes to the songs played with Fogerty sounds quite frail.

Hope I could change my opinion when listening "Traveling band" on the "Last Man Standing" album because I greatly admire both men.

Rockin historian siipien havinaa

Alkaa Jerry Lee olla jo hiukan "huonossa hapessa", vaikka tyyliä kyllä riittää edelleen muille jakaa...

Huom! Päreen kuva on vuodelta -85, videot sen sijaan tämän vuoden (2007) alusta, ymmärtääkseni USA:ssa maaliskuussa alkaneesta TV-sarjasta, jossa esiintyy aivan julmettu määrä ikääntyneempiä supersarjan rocktähtiä.
