Tässä eräs John Fogertyn liikuttavimmista kappaleista I Saw It on TV (1984) albumilta Centerfield.

Kappaleen kertosäkeessä on tiettyä ironiaa: I know it’s true, oh so true, ’cause I saw it on tv.
Uskommeko televison ohjelmiin kuin ne todella olisivat jopa ainoa totuus, jonka maailmasta nykyään omaksumme. Tosin ko. kappale on kirjoitettu 15 vuotta ennen nettiajan lopullista läpimurtoa, mutta muutos ei ole niin perusteellinen kuin luulemme. Jos oikeaa, akuutteihin tosiasioihin ja tapahtumiin perustuvaa informaatiota tulee nykyään nopeimmin juuri netistä, sieltä tulee myös eniten vääristeltyä ja manipuloitua 'faktaa'.
